Maati Benmbarek
Director of Finance & Asset Manager
Maati Benmbarek is the Director of Finance & Asset Manager for Klein Financial Corporation, a real estate investment, development and consulting firm specializing in tax-exempt bond multifamily residential development. Mr. Benmbarek is involved with all financial aspects of the Company’s two real estate investment funds with investments in over 3,300 units and approximately $770 million in property value.
Mr. Benmbarek has 12 years of experience in the Finance industry, including 11 years in the Venture Capital & Private Equity Finance. Prior to joining Klein Financial Corporation, Maati worked at Stockbridge Capital Group (SCG) where he managed the financial reporting of a multi-billion dollar real estate portfolio. Prior to SCG, he was the Finance & Reporting Manager for multiple funds at AMB Capital Partners, an industrial real estate portfolio. Prior to that, Maati was with Deloitte – San Francisco where he worked mostly in the Venture Capital/Private Equity practice. His due diligence and assurance background at Deloitte covered more than a dozen venture funds based in Palo Alto, Menlo Park and San Francisco. Maati also worked in Deloitte’s Paris office through a global exchange program.
Maati earned a Bachelor of Arts in Business Economics and Accounting, with Honors, from the University of California, Los Angeles. He is also a Certified Public Accountant (inactive) in the State of California. Maati speaks four languages.
